Emily Coyne

CWEP - Founder

Emily’s passion for creating extraordinary experiences began in childhood, when she immersed herself in Emily Post’s Book of Etiquette, fascinated by the details of fine dining and event planning. From setting elaborate tablescapes to organizing theatrical productions, she never imagined these early inspirations would shape her future career.

With over 10 years of experience leading event departments at renowned properties like Auberge du Soleil, Emily has flawlessly executed hundreds of events for Fortune 500 CEOs, celebrities, and discerning clients. When Emily Coyne Events was founded, premier venues in destinations like Napa Valley, Los Cabos, and Aspen sought to include her team on their list of preferred planners. Featured in PEOPLE, Newsweek, The Knot, and Bridal Guide, Emily is widely respected for her professionalism, grace, and commitment to creating joyful, stress-free planning experiences for every couple.

Carrie Negri

Director of Operations

Carrie serves as Director of Operations where she manages logistics, systems, and processes related to providing exceptional client experiences at Emily Coyne Events. In addition, she oversees client budgets and vendor contracting. She also serves as the in-house stylist and bridal beauty concierge for ECE, handing all things fashion and beauty and ensuring each couple has a pampered experience on the wedding weekend. Prior to entering the hospitality industry, she managed software product launches across multiple lines of business at Google. Carrie is passionate about taking the wedding industry to unprecedented levels of service and creating unforgettable event experiences for couples.

Outside of work, Carrie loves road biking, spending time outdoors with her husband and their puppy, Leo, and entertaining friends and family at her home. She also loves to travel, having explored numerous international destinations while working and living in France. Carrie holds degrees in Marketing and French from Santa Clara University.

Katie Coon

Senior Event Producer

Katie’s childhood was defined by international travel for swimming and dance competitions, sparking a love for adventure and a deep appreciation for the world’s beauty. She went on to study at UC Santa Barbara, where she qualified twice for the Olympic trials, learning discipline, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence through years of training.

Katie’s experience spans prestigious properties like the Ritz Carlton Bacara, where she managed over 50 weddings annually and earned recognition for her work ethic and dedication. She later transitioned into global event programming, managing logistics for high-profile events tied to the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Sponsors. Katie is known for her exceptional drive, attention to detail, and warm, personable approach.

Alex Brix

Event Producer

With a degree in Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder, Alex began her career in advertising while spending weekends immersed in events—where her love for the industry truly took root. She later transitioned into luxury catering as an Event Manager at Paula LeDuc Fine Catering & Events, gaining a deep understanding of food and beverage, a foundation that continues to shape her work in weddings today.

Alex thrives in the dynamic world of event planning, bringing people together to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. Her ability to blend creativity with seamless execution ensures each event feels both personal and unforgettable.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her husband and their dog Cooper, traveling, hosting dinner parties, and time with loved ones.

Katarina Schultz

Operations Manager

Inspired by a love for travel, Katarina discovered her passion for the wedding industry while studying abroad at University College London. After earning a degree in English from UC Davis, she joined Emily Coyne Events as an Executive Assistant, blending her creative interests with her love for exploration.

With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for behind-the-scenes work, Katarina ensures every event runs smoothly. Known for her meticulous organization, she expertly manages the team’s inventory and crafts the comprehensive ECE production decks that elevate each wedding to perfection.

Haley McDaniel

Bridal Stylist

Haley is a fashion stylist with a degree in Fashion Styling from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has worked in both editorial and personal styling, beginning her career assisting celebrity stylists in Northern California and Nashville, Tennessee. Her experience includes working with high-profile fashion brands on photo shoots, red carpet events, and music videos, ensuring seamless styling from preparation to execution.

Her work has been featured in publications such as 180 Magazine, Period Magazine, Photo Vogue IT, and Spotted Magazine.

In addition to styling, Haley is a bridal makeup artist with over eight years of experience, bringing her creative eye and expertise to brides on their special day.
